Three directors, two apprentices, two roofers and one pink cloth. This is who turns up when you book PowerHaus.
We’re a small South Wales firm, and we like it that way. When you get in touch you speak to one of the people below, and the same people turn up to do the job. Five of us are electricians by trade, but every one of us can hook, rail and panel a roof, so nobody gets to stand at the bottom holding the ladder.
Electrician and our MCS nominated technical person, which means he’s the one making sure every solar and battery install meets the standard on paper as well as on the roof. If there’s a certificate involved, it’s been past Christian.
Electrician, director, and the one who built the website you’re reading. Just as happy on a roof as in front of a consumer unit, and usually the first to reply when you get in touch.
Electrician and director. Wayne is the steady pair of hands on site: the one who plans the day, keeps it moving and makes sure the job is finished properly before anyone packs a tool away.
No, it’s not his real name, but it fits him perfectly. Chewy is learning the trade with us and already pulling his weight on the roof, as the photos on this site will confirm.
Our other apprentice. Jamie is working through his qualifications with us and picking up the solar side alongside the electrical, which is not a bad way to start a career.
Tiles, hooks and rails. Calum is the reason our solar arrays sit dead straight and your roof is left exactly as watertight as we found it. He’s also in about half the photos on this site, usually somewhere high up.

Roofer by trade and clearly a man of many talents. Santino took every photo on this page and the Llantrisant walkthrough, which is why he isn’t in the line-up. He runs Outerline Media when he isn’t on a roof.
PowerHaus is run by three electricians, Christian, Jordon and Wayne, who wanted to build the kind of firm they’d be happy to have working on their own homes: turn up when agreed, explain things plainly, do the job properly and leave it tidy.
Between the three of us there’s twenty years in the electrical industry, and we’ve added solar, battery storage and EV charging as that work has become part of everyday electrics. The apprentices are coming up through the same way of working, and the roofers are the reason we can take on the solar side ourselves rather than subcontracting the bit that matters most.
We’re based in South Wales and most of our work is here, but we’ll travel for the right job. If you want to see what a full install looks like from start to finish, have a look at the Llantrisant walkthrough.
